At Agriturismo Re Piano, hospitality isn’t a job: it’s our way of life. Every service we offer comes from a wish to make you feel at home, surrounded by the nature of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, just a few kilometres from Modigliana.
Spa and Wellness Centre
Our wellness centre is open all year round and is one of our guests’ favourite experiences, whatever the season.
The barrel-shaped sauna, built from fir wood, is a unique experience for the eyes and for the scent of the wood alike. Don’t stop after the first 15 minutes: it is the sweating that brings the real benefits to your body, your circulation and your mind.
After the sauna, the warm-water hot tub awaits you for a moment of complete relaxation. Many couples linger here for a whole hour, lulled by the sound of the water and the silence of the surrounding countryside.
The “Il Nido” lounge completes the experience: a cosy sitting room with a stone fireplace where you can relax with a glass of wine, a herbal tea or a hot chocolate. In winter, lit only by candles, it becomes the warm heart of the farm.
A massage therapist can also come to you, by appointment.
Swimming Pool
The pool is free for all our guests to use. In a panoramic spot, it offers 360° views over the Romagna hills. In summer there is nothing better: stretching out in the sun with an ice-cold prosecco in hand, the scent of freshly cut grass and your gaze drifting over the vineyards.
Barbecues and Outdoor Parties
The wood-fired oven and barbecue areas are available to our guests. Each apartment has its own private outdoor space with tables, chairs and sun loungers. We host parties with music, evenings with friends, birthdays, graduations, christenings, First Communions and Confirmations. Re Piano is the perfect place to walk and dance barefoot on the grass under the stars.
Please note: we do not provide catering, but we hire out our spaces for events and parties by reservation.
Our Animals
At Re Piano you will be greeted by two gentle horses, two playful little donkeys, lots of tuneful songbirds, fish in the three ponds around the house and our “multicoloured” cats. For children (and grown-ups too) it is an unforgettable experience: stroking the animals, listening to the birdsong and watching the fish in the pond with its waterfall.
Horse Riding
Our riding stables are in the heart of the countryside, among almond trees and green meadows. We offer rides past farmhouses, woods and chestnut groves – a unique way to explore the area.
Experiences and Courses
Romagna Pasta-Making Class
We set up tables with rolling pins, pasta boards, flour and fresh eggs from our own hens. Everyone has their own station and learns to roll out the sfoglia (fresh pasta dough) by hand to make tagliatelle, tortelli and cappelletti. Perfect for hen parties, groups of friends and families. We cook the ragù together, then everyone sits down to enjoy what they have made.
Painting from Life
Antonella has always been a painter. For anyone who would like to try, we organise open-air painting sessions among the tulips, the hills and the sunsets. Bring paper, canvas, paints and brushes: we will guide you.
Yoga and Bioenergetics
On request we organise yoga and bioenergetics sessions out in nature. The silence and energy of this place make it a truly special experience.
Tastings and Local Produce
We personally take our guests to discover the flavours of Romagna: visits to local wineries for wine tasting, to the olive mills in November to breathe in the aroma of freshly pressed oil, to the goat’s cheese makers 500 metres from our farmhouse, and to the buffalo cheese and ricotta producers just a few kilometres away. We are always happy to arrange tastings of typical local products, because we know just how good and genuine they are.
Trekking and Mountain Biking
From Re Piano, 180 km of waymarked trails set off for trekking and mountain biking, climbing up to 1,000 metres above sea level. We are close to the Foreste Casentinesi National Park and the Vena del Gesso Romagnola. The road up to Re Piano is famous as a Giro d’Italia route: a natural training ground for cyclists.
